Galleries
We have selected art work from each of our national galleries and this section provides some details of the galleries themselves.
The National Gallery, London
Nationalmuseum, Stockholm
National Gallery of Modern Art, Rome
The National Gallery - Alexandros Soutsos Museum, Greece
Links
We also intend to feature links to other venues dedicated to great art not only in partner countries but elsewhere in Europe. These will be listed on this page and will enable teachers to expand their work in the classroom to not only to other galleries in partnership countries but also to widen their search perhaps for the work of a particular artist, in a similar style or just from the same period in history.
Ireland:
Classroom Art
Seán Ó Grádaigh & Áine Uí Ghrádaigh
This book was designed to help student teachers and practicing teachers to teach art. It is packed with interactivity and demo videos. These methodologies are meant as a guide. Please use them as such. The students’ creativity and their own versions and interpretations of these methodologies should be fostered and encouraged. There is also a section in this publication on how this book was built.
