The project

UNESCO has highlighted the development of resilience in young people through art with particular emphasis on youngsters facing exceptional difficulties caused by the current pandemic: (https://en.unesco.org/news/youth-resilience-through-art-during-covid-19-crisis-youthofunesco-story-samaa)

Our project is a response to this concern. It has developed 8 modules with schemes of work for primary and lower secondary teachers to use with their classes. Each has a focus on a particular theme, illustrated with specific works of Visual Art from the National Galleries of each of our partnership countries plus some supporting material from local galleries. An example is the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome which was used by our Italian partners - Crewative.

Each module provides teachers with Art History theory & background and learning points on the particular theme for teachers to use with their classes.

The modules

  1. The modules and schemes of work we have developed are available and targeted at primary and lower secondary teachers and their pupils. They cover the themes of:

    1. LOVE AND FAMILY

    2. STRENGTH and POWER

    3. NATURE

    4. WORK and INDUSTRY

    5. OUR WORLD

    6. SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY

    7. FREEDOM

  2. 8. MIGRANTS and REFUGEES
