What are Erasmus + Key Action 1 courses?
These are face to face training courses for teachers. They are held across the EU with expert trainers who have worked together to create the training materials and course programme. For our courses in 2023 and early 2024 teachers will use Erasmus + funding already secured by their school, this covers travel, accommodation, tuition and course administration.
Note: Teachers cannot be funded to attend a course in their own country but may take part using school or other domestic funding to pay the tuition fee and any other expenses.

The project team are planning two training courses, others will follow. Each course will include:
- Tuition by members of the project team who have created some of the resources on this website
- A guided visit to at least one major art gallery with an associated task linked to our modules
- Where practical a school visit will be included to see the project materials from one of our modules being used in the classroom
- Opportunities to work together to create new materials to take back to your school
- Networking and future project planning with like-minded teachers who value art education
Our courses will be in English and are most suitable for teachers from primary, lower secondary and special schools.
